 Does a good job, but not without some problems September 5, 2008
The product works as advertised, and I like it a great deal. However, of late, the PowerBlocks do not separate as cleanly from the unbracketed weights as I would like... actually, I'm being kind. The fact is, some of the unbracketed weights are getting stuck requiring forceful separation. In other words, when I set the PowerBlock for 25lbs., the additional 40lbs continues to cling to the PowerBlock. I'm not exactly sure why this is happening, but it's very frustrating to have to wrestle the weights apart, especially when abbreviated time between sets is critical to optimal performance. This issue notwithstanding (which I believe I can solve with some lubricant between the plates), I would recommend this product to anyone who does not have the room for a full dumbbell set. The five different handles make the PowerBlock very adaptable to numerous exercises, and the system is easy to use. Not in the least bit complicated.
