Works As Expected January 9, 2009 Upon first opening the package they look a little cheap and flimsy, however after using them it does a great job of helping you keep your balance and is great for the wrists. This product is highly recommended for anyone who regularly does push-ups
Harbinger 373500 - Excellent for those with wrist problems December 19, 2008 If you have weak wrists or joint problems, and can't stand the thought of completely giving up on pushups, go buy these NOW. Don't spend 30 bucks on a pair of pushup bars that claim to provide better support or functionality. These are made of plastic and are subsequently superlight. I take them with me on every vacation or business trip. They are wall balanced for any position, even dips on a chair, and offer incredible support without extraneous stress on your wrists.
I have experienced pain in my left wrist for over a year now due to a ganglion cyst (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganglion_cyst). Couldn't do more than 10 pushups without feeling shooting, debilitating pains. Now I can go through 40-50 pushup sets without any pain at all - all of the stress is on the forearms.
Anyone who says these don't offer the right support or are poorly balanced probably can't do a pushup to begin with!
Work gret November 22, 2008 As advertised, these push-up bars work great. They are light weight but can hold my weight easily (185 pounds) and are small so they are easy to store.
Good Push Up Bars October 30, 2008 They work for me, however, you might want to add more padding to the cushion parts. If you do a lot of reps then your palms will began to feel the burn. Cheap, lightweight, and and effective! Enjoy!
Falls short of expectations. . . October 9, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Not the bargain it's cracked up to be. I'm using them, and they'll suffice for now, but I really wish I would have coughed up for the Beachbody Power Stands. These push up bars are small, the incline is very subtle and unfortunately they are not very stable. If your hand/wrists waver slightly, they flip over which is very dangerous and painful. When you're really working hard at a push up, you need more stability than these provide.
