Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The GoFit Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability Ball is a fun, yet challenging way to stretch, tone and tighten your body. What makes the GoFit Core Stability Ball so challenging? Unlike training on a stable, flat surface, the ball is a round, unstable surface, so you not only train the primary muscle groups, but also the smaller stabilizing muscles as well. The stabilizing muscles are small, yet very important muscle groups primarily used for balance, alignment and posture. Comes with ball pump, 2 ball plugs and an easy to follow exercise wall poster. Also includes a 25-minute Linda Leene stability ball workout DVD.

5 out of 5 stars GoFit ball--great!!   August 24, 2008
I'm very pleased with my purchase of the GoFit workout ball. I have to admit that blowing up balls and balloons scare me but this is a really strong material and it blew up (Not as in "Kaboom") easily. Once I got used to the air in it, I even got brave enough to add more. It's great!

5 out of 5 stars Burst resistant..Hmmmmmmmm   July 25, 2008

Well, I bought several different sizes of these balls, as I wanted my 3 sons to build a bit of their "Core" muscles, while sitting all day long doing their schoolwork (I home educate them, & wanted them to have a bit more exercise) Well they absolutely LOVED them, so much that they wanted to take them outside when they do homework in nice weather (we have a wrap around porch) while "somehow" (hmmmm... I wonder) the youngest's ball ended up in the rose bushes, yep, punctured it in a blink!!
So after a LONG lecture & threats of him actually PAYING with his OWN $$ for another ball, I reordered & they all again, have their own ball to sit on (They love them & Dad, "borrows" them to use as a "footrest" (after a hard day on his feet, they are so soft on the heels & comfy!)
I HIGHLY recommend these balls, they have had them for a year now, use them DAILY & NO PROBLEMS!! And did I say theu are being used by 3 BOYS ages 9, 12 & 15!! That is saying QUITE a bit as to their durability!

5 out of 5 stars Great product   February 7, 2008
I ordered this after reading about balls that "burst" and cause injuries. So far it works great. It is colorful, (ok really bright) but it is in the basement, so no one sees it really.... The kids love to play with it also.

1 out of 5 stars Stability ball review   March 8, 2007

I purchased both a 55cm and a 65cm Go Fit Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability Ball for personal use. So far I am very dissapointed with it as they lose air and are not round. You try to roll them and they are very lopsided. Would not purchase this brand again. Very disappointed with it.

5 out of 5 stars Very Durable Stability Ball ...   January 11, 2007

I purchased 2 GoFit Ultimate Burst Resistant Core Stability Balls w/DVD (orange 55cm and purple 65cm)over a year ago from Amazon (on sale). The ball is a very durable, good quality ball (no foul smells or sticky surfaces like some other stability balls). I haven't had any problems with the ball in over a year of constant use. I have had to occasionally add air to keep the ball at the appropriate size (but nothing out of the ordinary).

This package comes with the ball, pump and workout DVD. I didn't even attempt to use the cheap manual pump included, but opted to use my husband's automatic pump, which quickly and easily inflated the ball to the desired size without any effort. The workout DVD is that in name only. It has some good exercise ideas, but if you are looking for a stability ball workout, you will probably want to buy a separate "true" stability ball workout DVD. Also, if you ever need an extra plug, you can buy them directly from the manufacturer at GoFit.net.

As a side note ...

When determining what size stability ball to purchase, leg length (not height) is what ultimately dictates the size ball you need. If you know you have shorter or longer legs for your height, then you may need to get a smaller or larger ball than the standard height charts for stability balls.

For those of you who are unsure of how much to inflate your stability ball, here are some helpful guidelines taken from the fitnesource site ... On a wall, measure 55cm, 65cm or 75cm (depending on the ball size you have) from the floor and mark it with a pencil. Then inflate the ball until it feels/looks "full", but is not hard and still has a little bit of give in it when you press on it. Put the ball close to the mark you made on the wall and then place a ruler on top of the ball so that it touches the top of the ball and the mark on the wall. This will tell you how close you are to the maximum inflation for your ball size. If this is the first time you are inflating the ball, while it might seem full, it might still measure small. If this happens, give the ball a day to "stretch out" and then add some additional air, if needed. If you don't want to do all that, they also sell tape measures specifically for measuring the diameter of stability balls. Just keep in mind, that when you sit on the ball with your feet flat on the ground and knees bent, your knees should be level with or slightly lower than your hips (a 90 degree angle).
